While Cubans must use filthy hospitals that are unfit for animals....

Here is what Granma, Cuba's official newspaper, reports today: “The Cuban government has concretized the donation of 23 Level II hospitals for an equal number of municipalities in the departments of Santa Cruz, Oruro, La Paz, Cochabamba, Potosí and Beni, to improve health care for local residents, according to the Agencia Boliviana de Noticias.

Cuban Ambassador Rafael Daussá in Bolivia explained that of the 23 donated hospitals, 10, in three municipalities, would be fully equipped; 10 would include equipment and personnel; and three would be allocated for the national police. “There has been a good working environment,” Daussá commented. “I believe the mayors have interiorized the decision perfectly, because they know what the health situation is in their municipalities. For us, life and what we have contributed to health care is more important than the cost of the donation,” he added.
